Nabz/Annabelle Sirois
Canadian Contemporary Artist
Based in the Laurentians, Quebec, Annabelle Sirois, known professionally as Nabz, is a Canadian visual artist whose work explores the connection between nature, human emotions and the beauty of transformation.
Inspired by her surroundings, travels and personal experiences, she creates vibrant, textured abstract paintings where color, movement and light become a language of their own.
At the heart of her artistic practice is a distinctive approach to reconstruction. By incorporating fragments of previous paintings and dried paint from her palettes, she creates a connection between past and present. Each fragment carries a story, giving new life to what once existed.
Through her collections, NABZ explores themes of resilience, renewal and our connection to the natural world. From the delicate strength of The Broken Pots to the immersive foliage and filtered light of Through, her work invites viewers to look beyond the surface and connect with what they feel.
Her paintings celebrate the beauty of life's imperfections, the power of transformation and the light that finds its way through.
My Approach
The Art of Becoming
Nothing is ever truly lost in my creative process. Fragments of past paintings, dried paint and layers of texture find new life within each artwork. What once belonged to another story becomes part of something new — a reflection of growth, transformation and the beauty of moving forward.
